Dry suit floating, Lake Saimaa, Finland

Dry-suit floating

Imagine lying on your back with ice floating round you and the frost nipping at your cheeks. Imatra’s Vuoksi or Lake Saimaa is surging and foaming on all sides. This is dry-suit floating. The sport can be engaged in all year round, since a watertight rescue suit keeps the floater dry, and an adequate amount of warm clothing can be slipped inside it. Not only that, but there’s an opportunity to try Vuoksi floating, where you float along with the stream for up to a kilometre.
